The enemy is within us: Ajay Devgn

I know many people will blame the cops, but I support them. They work very hard and it's very difficult to control the inflow and outflow of millions of people entering and leaving Mumbai every day. We need to support and laud them for their work. I feel sad and helpless that I am unable to do anything.

People talk of going to war but I want to ask them, who do we go to war with? We are fighting with an invisible enemy. It's not about a particular country today. The enemy is within us. There are so many people in our country who have supported and will continue to support these terrorists. Till we don't unite and become one or care for each other, the police can't do much to prevent such attacks.

First we need to recognise the enemy within us, unite and then fight the enemy outside. We create issues and keep fighting over religious beliefs among ourselves. It's very sad that Mumbai is probably the only city in the world where every two years we are bombarded like this! I don't know what to call ourselves, including me, the people and the machinery. There have to be flaws within us. For the rest of the world when it happened once, their machinery was so active that attacks haven't happened again. Yet, with us, it's happening again and again...

We should support the police and administrative machinery to help control crimes. Many times we don't inform the police on time. Often when someone is in trouble we don't help them. The worst part is that today we have become numb and indifferent to such terrorist incidents. We are not shocked or surprised anymore, but have almost started expecting them. We have begun accepting such attacks as part of life. That's shocking... and terribly sad...
