Around 100 invaders and puppets killed and wounded in Uruzgan operation: TalibanYesterday at around noon time, a group of 6 martyrdom seeking Mujahideen of Islamic Emirate (Nazi Ahmad, Muhammad Qasim of Kandahar; Hameed and Abu Bakr of Nimroz; Ahmadullah and Sirajuddin of Uruzgan) armed with RPG’s, machine guns, hand grenades, explosives vests, knives and other heavy and light weapons carried out an attack on Uruzgan provincial governor house, highway police headquarters and police headquarters as a large number of foreign invaders and local officials were holding a gathering to appoint the substitute of the former governor, Jan Muhammad Khan, earlier killed by Mujahideen in Kabul. As per detail, firstly 3 Mujahideen detonated their explosive laden vehicles at the front gates of the 3 mentioned buildings, clearing all the obstacles before the remaining 3 rushed the governor house, opening fire on the enemy attendees at the meeting and turning into a bloody battle which lasted till around dusk time when the last Mujahid embraced martyrdom. Officials say that other Mujahideen blocked off roads leading to the battle scene by carrying out armed attacks and tactical bombings on the reinforcement enemy arriving for help. Reports say that enemy helicopters arrived during the battle scene and opened fire on the occupied buildings, setting ablaze and completely destroying the governor house and the police headquarters as well as destroying all the enemy vehicles parked inside. Reports add that around 6 foreign invaders and about 50 police officers inside the police headquarters were killed while the other enemy casualties took place in the fighting however the fate of the highway police commander (Matiullah) and deputy governor (Khudai Raheem Khan) are not known. The claim by the stooge regime’s officials that a number of women and children were killed by Mujahideen in the operation hold no truth as the attack took place at a time when high ranking foreign and local officials were holding a meeting and so had cordoned off the building from everyone. Lastly, we would like to send our condolences to the family and friends of the journalist Khpulwak who was martyred in the cross fire inside his office, which was wall to wall with the highway police headquarters.(Taliban Website)
