LAHORE – TheNation Editor-in-Chief and Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Chairman Majid Nizami said here on Monday that India was conspiring to destabilise Karachi and “we should be ready to secure our country from such an aggression”.
Addressing a ceremony held at the Aiwan-e-Karkunan Tehrik-e-Pakistan to distribute certificates among the Nazariati Summer School students, the NPT chairman stressed the need for giving awareness to the youth about the Two-Nation Theory.
NPT Vice-chairman Professor Dr Rafique Ahmad, Shahid Rasheed, Rafaqat Riaz and Dr M.A. Soofi attended the ceremony. “I feel pleasure to address you because when the idea of establishing a school was under debate, I stressed upon establishing an ideological school,” Majid Nizami told the students.
While briefing them on the background of the Two-Nation Theory, Nizami told them that during Muslim League’s 1930 session, Allama Muhammad Iqbal had put the idea that Muslims and Hindus were two separate nations. After that, he added, Allam Iqbal had selected Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah as an ideal person to lead the Muslims of the Indo-Pak for creating an independent state for them. “The Quaid proved his ability by achieving the goal of Pakistan. “Now we are independent and it is your responsibility to secure the future of the country. You are given ideological training here; you will never forget it throughout your lives.”
He hoped the students would take benefit from whatever they learned from the one month long ideological summer school campus.
Commenting on the deteriorating law and order situation in Karachi, Majid Nizami said that India was behind the unrest in the business hub of Pakistan and that the Israel-made weapons being used in Karachi were reaching in the biggest city of Pakistan through India. The foreign interference was not only creating unrest in Karachi, but also in Balochistan and Fata, he added.
Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad also addressed the students and urged them to study and work hard in the great interest of the nation. The speakers distributed certificates among the students and congratulated them for completing the ideological training.
