Brian Moench, President of Utah Physicians for a Healthy Environment and a member of the Union of Concerned Scientists has criticized the American society and government for 'becoming cruel and brutal' in recent years.
He says Americans are now 'indifferent to the suffering' of their own people and those of other nations.
Moench told Press TV's U.S. Desk on Sunday that the U.S. government has failed to make policies, in recent decades, which can help people. And that's because "corporate-funded extremist groups" have taken over the government.
