Huge haul of explosives in Hyderabad

Hyderabad police on Tuesday seized a huge quantity of explosives and arrested two people indulging in their illegal sale and transportation. The sleuths of the police commissioner's task force seized 1,600

police commissioner AK Khan told reporters that police also seized two cars and one cell phone.


The explosives were seized in IS Sadan neighbourhood during the vigil in the wake of recent serial bomb blasts in Mumbai.

Police were questioning both the arrested to ascertain the names of people whom they sold the explosives and whether they include people involved in anti-national activities.

The police chief said Srinivas confessed to that he was getting the explosive material from one person and supplying it to Yadaiah, who in turn use to sell the same to the compressor holders and stone labourers.

The police commissioner also appealed to the public to provide information about any illegal storage or transportation of explosives.
